The Mambo community has, for a long time, been in need of a user-friendly directory of extensions for the popular content management system. We're hoping this site can, at least in part, fill that need. The Mambo system's strengths include its flexibility and extensibility; users can add components, modules and mambots to add new functionality or to enhance existing functions. While a large number of extensions exist, they are not kept in one central location, they are maintained to various levels and they are sometimes a bit arcane in description. This site is intended to provide easy access to a central repository of information. For Users and Webmasters:The Mambo Extensions directory is the place where you can easily search for modules, components, mambots and tools which can be used to extend the functionality of the core Mambo CMS files. Extensions are clearly explained and reviewed and download links are provided for your convenience.For Developers:Mambo Extensions is a place where you can list your extensions. By registering, you can add a listing and you can edit and maintain your own listing. Regardless of whether your extension is open source or commercial, there are no fees for listing -- this site uses an ad revenues model and does not intend to charge listing (or registration) fees. If you've created a great extension for the Mambo CMS - tell the world.For the Mambo Community:Mambo Extension is the place where you can add your voice and share your experiences. Rate extensions, add reviews, tell people what works --and what doesn't! As more people participate, the value of the directory of information becomes more valuable. Register and become involved!Mambo Extensions is owned and maintained by Water&Stone. This site was built to serve the community of users of the Mambo Open Source content management system. While we do offer a directory, with comments and ratings, we do not offer project hosting -- this is not a "forge" type site where developers can host and manage their projects. Mambo Extensions is purely a directory and that means we will link to the homepage or forge page where you can download the extensions. Similarly, since we are purely an information source, we do not maintain or support any of the extensions. If you have a problem with an extension, please contact the developer directly or visit the Mambo Foundation Forum, where you can post questions for other members of the community. This site is privately run and supported by advertising revenue. There are no charges for registration or to list and/or maintain listings. If you find a problem with a listing, please report it. If you wish to add a comment or include a new listing, you will need to register. If you find a problem with the site, please use the contact form.
